Administrator at the Government Offices of Sweden

Do you have several years of experience in administration within the public sector, preferably with an academic education, and are you service-oriented and development-focused? Then you might be the right person for an exciting administrative role that also includes handling tasks in a diverse environment at the center of events.

The unit is looking for an administrator who can also assist in preparing issues within the unit's policy areas, namely the work against discrimination, which also includes work against racism and similar forms of hostility, as well as efforts for equal rights and opportunities for LGBTQI individuals, and coordination and development of human rights work at the national level.

As a unit administrator, you will be responsible for the management and handling of the unit's internal administration. Part of your daily routine will involve handling cases, coordinating the unit's practical planning, practically conducting various internal and external meetings, and ensuring that routines are followed and regulations are complied with. You will assist the unit manager and case officers in the daily work, such as the preparation process and dispatching decisions, and will be responsible for contact with the registrar regarding questions about the registration and archiving of ongoing and completed cases.

You will actively participate and contribute to the development of the unit's administrative routines and are expected to contribute your perspective, expertise, and ideas. It is important for us to learn from experiences, dare to rethink, and test new ideas. You will provide proactive support in the role of developer and expert on the Government Offices' and the department's administrative routines and workflows in digital tools and support. The role also includes assisting case officers in preparing cases, drafting memoranda, and other materials.

Your work will be characterized by ongoing and close collaboration with other administrators in the department. You will be part of the department's administrator network where administrators step in for each other as needed. Based on the needs of the operations, it is important to be flexible and able to prioritize. You will also have ongoing dialogue with colleagues within the unit and department as well as with other departments and authorities.

Your Background.

To take on this role, you need to have completed upper secondary education, but if you also have an academic education, it is an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish public administration and several years of experience working within the public sector with qualified administrative support or handling tasks. You express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and English and have good knowledge of and interest in working with digital tools, managing the entire Office suite well. We also welcome candidates who have experience in the digital development of administrative processes. If you also have experience in administrative work at the Government Offices and are familiar with working in the Government Offices' digital systems for preparation and decision-making processes and templates, it is an advantage. We view positively if you have knowledge within the unit's area of work or about EU and international work.

You have high integrity and very good judgment.

Other Information.

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
